Who's Watching the San Joaquin River

Forum Workshop - February 14, 2012

A Forum Workshop -- "Who's Watching the San Joaquin River" -- is scheduled for February 14, 2012 from 9 am to 3:30 at the Stanislaus Ag Center, Modesto, CA. Speakers from federal and state agencies plus agriculture and water districts will describe how each takes the "pulse" of the San Joaquin River, measuring everything from temperature and flow to chemicals and fish.

The event, sponsored by CURES with EPA Region 9 funding, features keynote speaker Pamela Creedon of the Regional Water Board along with presentations from key agencies and entities performing water monitoring on the river. Afternoon breakout sessions will help answer the question: how can water monitoring data from the San Joaquin River basin be organized for better accessibility and analysis? Request for Posters, Panel Participants

You are invited to submit a poster for presentation or apply to participate on a panel at the Forum Workshop.

Posters should be clearly laid out and designed for a general audience, with technical material (if any) made available is requested. The aim is to have posters that can inform the public and benefit city and facilities managers, agricultural managers as well as persons from regulatory agencies. Poster abstracts and a short CV should be submitted by February 10, 2012 to:
